In November 2014 Liebherr Chile SpA received the IST Safety Excellence Award in the category of safety and occupational health management and risk control. Due to the staff’s commitment in these different fields, the important standards and targets were met and even exceeded in some areas. This award was handed out by Chile’s Institute of occupational safety.
The Liebherr Mining division in Chile stood out for its risk prevention program based on the permanent compliance with legal requirements, hazard identification and risk assessment. They exceeded in emergency, occupational health, accidents, incidents and training in safety and improvement of consultations, audits and documentary control.
Liebherr Chile SpA surpassed one year without any lost-time incidents. It has obtained the ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 safety and environmental certification during the year 2014 as well. These accomplishments have become a part of the ongoing customer recognition in the field of management, occupational safety and health, which has kept the overall accident quota at zero.

Liebherr-Australia commemorates the opening of its new training centre in Western Australia
Liebherr-Australia held a customer evening at its new training centre in Perth, Western Australia, late last month to celebrate its official opening. The new facility includes three dedicated training rooms equipped with different simulators and a 1,250 m2 workshop for practical training. Customers and industry peers were able to experience training simulators and other cutting-edge training technology throughout the evening.

Darma Henwa expands fleet with 10 new Liebherr machines
In less than a year, Liebherr Indonesia has delivered a fleet of 10 machines to Darma Henwa – four R 9200 excavators and six PR 776 dozers, half of which are the Generation 8 model. These machines are currently working across the Bengalon and Kintap mines in Kalimantan.
