The 38 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump is equipped with a four-part Z-fold distribution boom that offers a vertical reach of 121.7 ft (37.1 m) and a horizontal reach of 107.6 ft (32.8 m). With a fold-out height of 28.71 ft (8.75 m), the truck-mounted concrete pump can also be used on tight construction sites without any problems.
Proven boom concept
The balanced distribution of the boom arms gives the 38 XXT a high degree of flexibility in everyday use, while the generous swivel ranges of the joints enable precise working even in difficult space conditions. Depending on customer requirements, the pump can be mounted on a three or four-axle chassis.
Flexible XXT support system
The swiveling XXT support system of the 38 XXT comes into its own on construction sites with limited space. Due to its swiveling capabilities, the front support can still be extended to the front of the operator’s cab on the narrow side. This adds the entire working area in front of the operator’s cab. Even with narrow supports on both sides, it is possible to work beyond the cab.
The new XXA stability assistance system expands the range of support options and monitors them electronically. The support outriggers can be set to narrow, partial, or full support on both sides. The operator has maximum flexibility even on confined construction sites and can flexibly adapt the support positions to the respective construction site. All permissible working areas are clearly and concisely displayed on the color display of the radio remote control. The XXA stability assistance system thus offers maximum flexibility and provides the operator with the right support for efficiency on the job site.
In addition, digital inclination monitoring keeps an eye on the machine's angle. The two-stage inclination monitoring system even allows for excessive inclinations of up to 5° under restricted operating conditions and alerts the operator and the surrounding area via a radio display and signal lights.
Efficient pump drive: Powerbloc and semi-closed oil circuit
The 38 XXT is equipped with the “Powerbloc” pump drive unit. All hydraulic switching and measuring elements are fully integrated in this unit, eliminating the need for many previously required hydraulic hoses and additional components.
The drive unit is complimented by the highly efficient semi-closed oil circuit (HCC). It supplies all drives with reliable and powerful hydraulic energy while significantly reducing the amount of oil required. Liebherr's proprietary system combines the advantages of open and closed circuits without any of their typical disadvantages. Users report particularly quiet, powerful, and reliable operation.
