Centro Oeste, a leading Brazilian provider of lifting and cargo handling solutions, has expanded its fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 mobile crane. It is the first crane of this type in Brazil and also the first in the country to feature the LICCON3 control system. With this investment, the company is continuing its strategy of consistently investing in technology, safety and operational efficiency. At the same time, Centro Oeste is strengthening its capacity to support demanding projects across various industrial sectors.
The LTM 1300-6.4 offers a maximum lifting capacity of 300 tonnes and a 90-metre-long telescopic boom. It thus combines high performance and a long reach with versatile applications. The mobile crane particularly demonstrates its strengths when lifting at great heights.

LICCON3: the new generation of crane control
A key feature of the new crane is LICCON3, the latest generation of Liebherr crane control systems. It features a redesigned, intuitive user interface, faster data processing, greater storage capacity and enhanced safety functions. The system is also designed to support telematics and fleet management solutions.
“One of Liebherr’s great strengths is that we develop key components such as displays and control units in-house. This ensures a particularly high level of system reliability. At the same time, we guarantee the long-term availability of spare parts and technical support throughout the crane’s entire life cycle,” explains Fabio Azevedo, Sales Manager at Liebherr Brasil.
More possibilities for demanding applications
The new LTM 1300-6.4 is designed for a wide range of tasks: large-scale industrial operations and maintenance shutdowns, electromechanical installations, infrastructure and energy projects, port operations, and the construction and expansion of industrial plants.
“Thanks to its 90-metre-long telescopic boom, the LTM 1300-6.4 can reach working heights for which other cranes in the same class would require a lattice jip to be fitted. This shortens set-up time and reduces the number of additional assembly steps for staff. This boosts efficiency, safety and availability,” emphasises Scopel. The investment is also part of Centro Oeste’s corporate strategy. “We want to expand our capabilities for complex projects, increase operational efficiency and offer our customers even more comprehensive solutions,” adds the managing director.
A proven partnership
Centro Oeste operates a fleet of around 110 vehicles. These include cranes of various load-capacity classes, loading cranes, forklifts and other equipment for lifting and material-handling operations. For mobile cranes with a lifting capacity of more than 90 tonnes, Liebherr accounts for around 77 per cent of the fleet. This demonstrates how close the partnership between the two companies has become over many years.
