Liebherr-Transportation Systems has recently completed the upgrade and expansion of its service center in Burlington (Canada). The company has optimized its productivity and repair services for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for rolling stock applications.
Within the frame of modernization advanced equipment has been installed and the workspace has been reorganized for maximum efficiency, streamlining workflows even better regarding the maintenance process for HVAC systems. These enhancements enable technicians to perform HVAC unit repairs more efficiently, minimizing delays caused by logistical tasks, resulting in faster, more reliable service delivery. For customers, this translates into shorter turnaround times in daily operation.
“The expansion enables us to efficiently handle a greater volume of projects”, said Stéphane Rioux, Divisional Director Aerospace and Transportation Systems at Liebherr-Canada Ltd. “With these enhancements, we can accommodate more work, deliver more HVAC units on schedule and better support the growing demand of our key partners such as the Toronto Transit Commission and New Jersey Transit. Our clients will benefit from quicker turnaround times and improved operational reliability, ensuring their systems perform at peak efficiency.”
This latest expansion included the addition of self-reliant working stations as well as the integration of state-of-the-art machinery as key elements optimized repair processes for HVAC systems. While these improvements support (local) infrastructure projects, they contribute to regional economic growth as well.
