On June 1, 2016, Ilse Aigner, Bavaria’s State Minister for Economy and Media, Energy and Technology, visited Liebherr-Aerospace’s stand at ILA Berlin Airshow. Dr. h.c. Willi Liebherr and the Managing Directors of Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Josef Gropper, Heiko Lütjens and Arndt Schoenemann welcomed Ilse Aigner and showed her the stand. In her role, the State Minister is in charge of aerospace in Bavaria.
The hosts presented an animated film in order to explain Liebherr-Aerospace’s products and how they function on board an aircraft to Ilse Aigner, who was also very keen on knowing more about the system supplier’s various exhibits. In addition to the main and the nose landing gear systems for the CSeries aircraft, Liebherr-Aerospace is exhibiting at this year’s airshow a nose landing gear housing with cadmium-free corrosion protection coating and a weight-optimized spoiler valve block, which is manufactured by additive layer manufacturing (“3D printing”).
