On June 2, 2016 Dr. h.c. Willi Liebherr greeted the German Federal Minister for Defense at Liebherr-Aerospace’s stand: Ursula von der Leyen came with a delegation of high-level representatives from the German Armed Forces to visit and see at the company’s various exhibits.
Among all products presented at the stand, it was the main and the nose landing gear that caught her special interest. Not only did she take a thorough look at the two exhibits, but she also let the Managing Directors of Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Josef Gropper, Heiko Lütjens und Arndt Schoenemann, tell her more about these. Germany’s aerospace industry is of great importance for the Federal Minister’s dpartment, and so is Liebherr-Aerospace as one of the leading system suppliers.
