Mobile and crawler cranes

Steering concept

Easy manoeuvring thanks to intelligent steering programs.

High safety and economy with active rear axle steering

Real know-how: The front axles of our cranes are steered mechanically via the steering wheel, while the rear axles actively steer electrohydraulically depending on the steering angle and speed. This creates a dynamic system in which all axles of the vehicle can be steered.

Additional safety is provided by an automatic centring cylinder, which straightens the rear axles in the event of a fault. Two independent hydraulic circuits with a wheel-driven and motor-driven hydraulic pump ensure operation even if individual components fail. The system is also controlled via two separate computers.

5 steering programs

  • Program selection at the touch of a button
  • Clear arrangement of operating elements and displays
  • Programs can be switched during driving
  • Crab steering comfortably controlled via steering wheel
  • Automatic straightening of the rear axles in the event of a fault

Centering cylinder

In the event of a fault, the centring cylinder ensures that the rear axles are automatically returned to the straight-ahead position in order to guarantee the driving stability and safety of the vehicle.
