Smart refrigeration and freezing: Liebherr showcases digital solutions at IFA 2016

At the international consumer electronics trade fair (IFA) 2016 in Berlin Liebherr shows that digitalisation is a real benefit in everyday life. From 2 to 7 September the refrigerator and freezer manufacturer showcases select highlights of new digital products. The intelligent appliances from the BluPerformance series, as well as the SmartDevice-compatible appliances, offer the customer new interaction options for food management and set standards in terms of energy efficiency, storage volume and design.

The new generation of the SmartDeviceBox represents a convenient solution for networking fridge and freezer units. It enables the customer to interact digitally with its Liebherr refrigerator and opens up new dimensions in food management. All BluPerformance appliances – over 90 in total – can be equipped with the new generation of the SmartDeviceBox. Liebherr thus offers the most extensive range of intelligent fridge and freezer units on the market.

This year trade fair visitors can witness a live demonstration of the interaction with the BluPerformance appliances in the "Cube", the heart of the Liebherr stand at IFA. Visitors can also enter diverse worlds by donning virtual reality glasses and experience the functions and technologies of the appliances in a whole new dimension. In addition, information on the comprehensive range of appliances can be called up quickly and in multimedia on large touch screens.

"BluPerformance - The new dimension in freshness" can be experienced in the public area of the Liebherr stand in the form of a stage show with informative interviews. A moderator, as well as a Liebherr expert, present the new generation of appliances and their features.

Liebherr is also once again presenting a design studio at the trade fair under the motto "CoolVision". Here the topic of lighting takes centre stage and shows how fascinating lighting effects can be projected on the KBPgb 4354 model. The various lighting effects result from the interplay of a LED light control and different materials. These light-controlled effects create new opportunities for ambient lighting.

The visitors at IFA can look forward not only to a diverse programme at this year's Liebherr exhibition stand, but can once again also marvel at standalone and integrated appliances, which are characterised in particular by their comfort and energy efficiency.
