In February, four new LTM 1055-3.2 were delivered to the Armasuisse, the purchasing division of the Swiss Army. The Swiss Department for Defence, Civil Protection and Sport has now bought a total of ten Liebherr cranes in various lifting capacity classes since 1994.
The machines were built at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH and then completed at the Swiss site Liebherr-Baumaschinen AG Reiden. In addition to minor supplements such as crates for wood and snow chains as well as cameras, additional equipment for building steel girder bridges had also been ordered.
