Liebherr-Transportation Systems will supply air conditioning systems for passenger cars to the Slovakian railway vehicle manufacturer ŽOS Trading s.r.o., Vrútky, which will be installed in a total of 21 of the 861-series diesel multiple units of the Slovakian rail company (Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko, a.s., ZSSK) in Bratislava.
ŽOS Vrútky had previously been awarded the contract for seven three-part and 14 two-part "Regiomover" diesel multiple units trains for public transport from the railway company. As a reliable development partner of ŽOS Vrútky, Liebherr not only received the order for the air conditioning of the passenger compartments, but also for the supply of components of the hot water heating circuit, which serves as primary heating in the multiple units.
Delivery is scheduled from September 2018 to February 2020.
Liebherr-Transportation Systems has already delivered air conditioning systems for the 861 series to ŽOS Vrútky in the past. This order again confirms the long-term, good relationship between the two companies.
