Liebherr is showcasing the LH 18 M Industry, the smallest handling machine in its portfolio, at Pollutec 2025. The LH 18 M Industry impresses with its robust and compact design, making it ideal for applications in the recycling sector. With the proven engine and hydraulic technology developed by Liebherr, the main focus is on fuel efficiency while increasing handling performance. At the exhibition, the handling machine will be on display in combination with the Liebherr SG 20B sorting grab, which is ideal for use in recycling.
The LH 18 M Industry has an operating mass of 17.0 to 18.0 tonnes and an engine power of 105 kW / 143 hp. The machine complies with stage V emission standards thanks to Liebherr's SCRT technology. This consists of a combination of a diesel oxidation catalyst and a diesel particulate filter, as well as a scr catalytic converter.
The exhibit at the exhibition is equipped with a 2,550 mm wide undercarriage with rear and front outriggers. The equipment consists of a 5.20 m long straight boom and a 3.70 m long stick with tilt kinematics. A Liebherr SG 20B sorting grab is attached to the machine as an attachment.
The LH 18 M Industry is particularly suitable for recycling applications. Typical areas of application include handling, unloading and sorting waste paper, waste wood and other waste materials. High machine availability is a key priority. The optional reversible fan increases productive working time by reversing the direction of rotation of the fan to blow out the radiator and protective guard. In addition to the standard two-stage air filter, the air pre-filter with dust extraction ensures fine filtration of the engine intake air.
The ergonomic, clearly laid out and spacious cab offers high working quality and maximum operator comfort. In addition, ergonomically arranged control elements and touchscreen displays simplify operation of the material handler. The LH 18 M Industry impresses with its high sensitivity thanks to the optimal coordination between the engine, control valve and proportional control. In addition, the standard proportional control allows the steering and stabilizers to be controlled conveniently and with safety via joysticks.
The service-oriented machine design guarantees short maintenance times and minimises maintenance costs thanks to the time saved. All daily maintenance points are conveniently accessible from the ground and easy to reach thanks to the large, wide-opening service doors. The optimised service concept combines individual maintenance points. This means that service work can be carried out even more quickly and efficiently.
In combination with the LH 18 M Industry, Liebherr is presenting the SG 20B sorting grab in a perforated version at Pollutec. The in-house attachment has a bucket width of 800 mm and a grapple capacity of 0.40 m³. The Liebherr SG 20B sorting grab is specially designed for intensive use in industry and recycling. As a multi-purpose device, it is ideal for gripping, loading, recycling and sorting all your materials. The grab is particularly applicable for excavator classes 14–20 tonnes. The Liebherr slewing device makes the sorting grab a highly effective and versatile attachment.
