The R 992 crawler excavator: performance and low emissions at CMSE

CMSE (Carrières et Matériaux Sud-Est) is the first customer in France to acquire a new-generation 6.2 crawler excavator.

The R 992 is a robust 94-tonne excavator, specially equipped for extracting abrasive materials. The quarry where CMSE's R 992 operates produces, distributes and sells aggregates for construction sites. After blasting, the excavator loads the pieces of rock into the 3 dumpers that take the material to the crushing station.

Our customer chose a Liebherr G6.2 excavator because they wanted a robust, high-performance machine with low fuel consumption. The 5.2 and 6.2 generations also feature technological innovations such as Liebherr Bucket Fill Assist (BFA) and Liebherr Power Efficiency (LPE).

Our R 980 SME excavator, a unique model for our customer Traineau

To carry out the exploitation of its granite quarry in Aizenay, our customer, Traineau, has chosen our R 980 SME excavator. Offering a global view on the crusher from the cab as well as a reduced fuel consumption, our machine achieves strong performance in terms of lifting and offers every operator a new, unique way of working. Moreover, the comfort it provides is non-negligible: the electric joysticks, the opening of the hatch with the remote control, the suspension of the seat and the interior and exterior soundproofing are all advantages that allow us to say that the R 980 SME offers incomparable flexibil-ity and ergonomics.

After 455 hours of working with our excavator, Traineau is more than satisfied with our services, especially since the front shovel makes loading easier and faster.

For our customer, Bocahut, the R 960 SME is the ideal tool to help them in their excavation, loading and development work. Versatile and modular, our machine has enabled our customer to gain up to 20% in productivity and fuel consumption. Faster, more responsive and economical, the comfort it offers is, according to Bocahut, incomparable to competing brands on the market, particularly thanks to its reduced fuel consumption of 37.7 liters per hour. The comfort of the cab, characterized by air conditioning, perfect visibility thanks to the panoramic window, and the ventilated adjustable seat is an important specificity for our customer. With 16 hours of work per day and 1068 hours worked since its commissioning, the R 960 SME has proved to be a convinc-ing choice, as have the Liebherr teams, which our customer Bocahut has described as responsive and attentive.

Our customer, Vitse, chose the R 956 excavator for his demolition and earthmoving work because he has always been satisfied with our equipment, which he has used for three generations. Thus, our excavator used initially with a concrete crusher, can also be used as a sorting clamp or with a concrete crusher for preparation, before finishing to tear off the remaining foundations with a bucket.

For his daily extraction and loading work in his limestone quarry, Minier has chosen our R 976 excavator, which is synonymous with practicality and above all comfort.

With its comfortable seat, soundproofing and ergonomic handling via a clear and intuitive dashboard, the spacious and bright cab is one of the many assets this machine has. In addition, easy access to the engine and the maintenance operations is convenient for both the operator and the technicians. The R 976, capable of meeting the special conditions of a limestone site

The crusher on the limestone site of our Minier customer is located high up in the ground and requires very specific operating conditions. Our R 976 excavator with its raised cab and long boom without any offset was developed to meet the special needs of our customer. Thus, its 5m3 bucket allows our customer to utilize daily and to correctly feed its crusher with screen at the back. The performance of our excavator allows our customer to produce concrete gravel in 0/20 and 0/31,5 for platforms and roads, as well as limestone intended for agricultural fields.
