What lies behind Liebherr-EMtec Nambsheim? Four questions for Olaf Vohwinkel

Olaf Vohwinkel is taking over as Director of Operations at the new site in Nambsheim.

Construction work on the site in Nambsheim began in May 2026.

The new Liebherr EMtec Nambsheim site will serve as a centre of excellence for the manufacture of driver’s cabs for Liebherr plants in Germany, France and Austria.

Liebherr-EMtec Nambsheim GmbH is scheduled to start operations in 2028.

    Three Liebherr flat-top cranes support the transformation of Milan's Bovisa gasometers

    Two early twentieth century gasometers in the Bovisa district of Milan are being redeveloped into a new innovation campus for Politecnico di Milano, based on a master plan by architect Renzo Piano. Since March 2025, three Liebherr flat-top cranes have covered the entire construction site, handling lifting and material handling work across the project.

    In Tuttlingen, southern Germany, four small Liebherr cranes have achieved great things: as a temporary replacement for a Danube bridge due for demolition, the LTC 1050-3.1 compact cranes erected a 70-metre-long river crossing as part of a civil defence exercise.
