Liebherr-Transportation Systems GmbH & Co KG, Korneuburg (Austria), signed a contract with Siemens and Cross London Trains (XLT) to deliver air conditioning systems for the Thameslink Rolling Stock Program, which is led by the UK Department of Transport.The 1,140 passenger compartment units and 230 driver cabin units covered by the contract are light-weight, maintenance-optimized and low in power consumption.Being selected to supply air conditioning systems for the Thameslink fleet is a significant achievement for Liebherr-Transportation Systems, and demonstrates the market’s confidence in Liebherr products.
