Terms of Use
MyLiebherr Account Terms of Use
The“MyLiebherr Account”is the user’s central account with Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH and enables the use of theSingle Sign-On serviceof Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH (hereinafter referred to as“SSO”). The SSO is the central authentication service that allows the user to access the modules“Device Registration”,“Marketplace”, and“Liebherr SmartDevice App”, which are described in detail below (the SSO and the modules “Device Registration,” “Marketplace,” and “Liebherr SmartDevice App” are collectively referred to hereinafter as the“Service”).
I. Scope of Application
The following Terms of Use govern the relationship between you as the user and the provider of the Service regarding the use of the Service.
The provider of the Service is:
Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH
Memminger Straße 77-79
88416 Ochsenhausen, Germany
(hereinafter referred to as“HAU”).
Any contractual relationships between the user and third parties, in particular those selling products to users through the Marketplace module, are governed by the respective terms and conditions or terms of use of those third parties. HAU assumes no liability for contracts concluded between users and third parties through the Marketplace module.
II. Service
1. SSO
The SSO allows users to access the Service and other restricted-access modules connected to the SSO (hereinafter referred to as the“Additional Modules”) using the same login credentials, without requiring separate registration processes for the Service and the Additional Modules.
Through the SSO, the user receives a unified “identity” that is valid across all modules and can be recognized and authenticated by restricted-access modules and Additional Modules. Through the SSO, personal data stored by the user in the SSO (such as name, address, and registered appliances) is automatically transmitted to the operators of the modules and Additional Modules, eliminating the need for manual re-entry and verification of such information within each individual module.
The SSO enables users to manage their stored data centrally and conveniently. Users can therefore manage and correct their master data (for example, their address). This makes the use of the Service and Additional Modules more convenient.
2. Modules
2.1 Device Registration
The Device Registration module allows users to register their Liebherr refrigeration and/or freezer appliances (hereinafter referred to as“Appliances”).
Following registration, users receive an overview of their registered Appliances. Users have various appliance management functions available and can easily switch to other modules that may be available for the respective Appliance.
2.2 Marketplace
Within the Marketplace module, users may purchase products from third parties that use the Marketplace module as a sales platform.
The products offered through the Marketplace module consist exclusively of original Liebherr products. Additional costs such as shipping charges and customs duties are specified by the product seller.
Please note that HAU merely provides third parties with the opportunity to sell products. HAU assumes no responsibility, in particular, for product prices, product availability, or other conditions offered by third parties.
2.3 Liebherr SmartDevice App
The Liebherr SmartDevice App allows users to view and configure appliance data.
Use of the Liebherr SmartDevice App requires a Wi-Fi-enabled module (the“SmartDeviceBox”). Through the SmartDeviceBox, the appliance is connected to the Internet via a Wi‑Fi-compatible router. The SmartDeviceBox can be added to SmartDevice-compatible appliances. Some appliances have a SmartDeviceBox integrated as standard.
Together with the SmartDeviceBox, the Liebherr SmartDevice App enables users to remotely control various appliance functions (for example, temperature settings). Users can directly receive alarm notifications, such as a door left open accidentally, a power failure, or a critical temperature alert.
The Liebherr SmartDevice App also includes a notification function that reminds users, for example, when it is time to replace the air filter or clean the ventilation grille.
In addition, the Liebherr SmartDevice App provides users with the option of contacting a Liebherr service partner.
The Liebherr SmartDevice App is available for iOS and Android operating systems.
Separate Terms of Use apply to the Liebherr SmartDevice App and can be accessed through the app itself.
III. Availability, Changes and Costs of the Service
The availability of the Service depends on a functioning data connection between HAU, the user, and/or third parties operating the respective Additional Module, as well as on the proper functioning of all participating systems. Therefore, temporary interruptions of availability cannot be ruled out.
HAU reserves the right to interrupt the availability of the Service for maintenance and enhancement work to an extent customary in the industry. HAU will endeavor to perform such work outside normal business hours at its headquarters.
HAU reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service temporarily or permanently at any time without stating reasons.
Use of the Service is free of charge for users.
IV. User Obligations When Using the Service
Users undertake to register only their own Appliances and to keep their account information up to date.
The content accessible through the Service (texts, data, images, logos, graphics, documents, audio recordings, videos, and other forms of representation) is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Without prior express consent, any reproduction, distribution, storage on other media (for example, other websites), or modification of all or part of such content is prohibited.

In cases of actual or suspected misuse, HAU may immediately block access to the Service.
Users are responsible for all consequences arising from third-party use where such misuse is attributable to them.
Liability ends only when the user has notified HAU Customer Service by email at[email protected]and, where necessary, changed their password.
The foregoing also applies where the user selected the “Stay logged in” option on a public or shared computer and third parties thereby gained access.
The access level granted through login credentials depends on the terms of use of the respective Additional Module.
HAU notes that each Additional Module is operated by the company identified in the provider information for that Additional Module. If HAU is not the operator, HAU assumes no responsibility for the content or services offered there.
VII. Withdrawal of Access Rights
HAU reserves the right to temporarily or permanently block a user's login credentials in the event of violations of these Terms of Use, particularly:
- false information during or after registration;
- unauthorized disclosure of login credentials, especially passwords.
HAU may further permanently withdraw access with immediate effect or within a time period determined at its discretion and/or terminate the user agreement for cause without notice.
Following such action, users may not register again without HAU’s prior express permission.
VIII. Termination of the User Agreement
The user agreement is concluded for an indefinite period.
Both the user and HAU may terminate the agreement at any time without notice by ordinary termination.
Both parties additionally retain the right to extraordinary termination for good cause.
Any termination must be made in text form, at a minimum by email.
Upon termination, users may no longer log in and may lose access to stored data, such as registered Appliances, and any other restricted-access areas of the Service or Additional Modules.
IX. Liability
Any claims for damages by the user are excluded.
This exclusion also applies to legal representatives and agents of the operator where claims are asserted against them.
The exclusion does not apply to claims arising from injury to life, body, or health.
It also does not apply to claims resulting from grossly negligent breaches of duty by the operator, its legal representatives, or its agents.
The above limitations of liability do not affect any mandatory statutory liability, including liability under product liability laws or liability for culpable injury to life, body, or health.
X. Data Protection
We place great importance on protecting and securing our users' personal data.
Complete information is available in the Privacy Notice relating to the Service.
XI. Amendments to the Terms of Use and the Service
HAU reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time without stating reasons.
Users must confirm the amended Terms of Use when logging in for the first time after the amendment.
Without acceptance of the updated Terms of Use, continued use of the Service is not possible, and users will lose access to the Service, the Additional Modules, and the stored data accessible through them.
If a user does not agree to the amended Terms of Use, either party may terminate the user agreement with immediate effect.
HAU reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service temporarily or permanently at any time and without giving reasons.
XII. Final Provisions
The contractual relationship with the user, these Terms of Use, and their interpretation shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The application of German or European conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded.
If the user is a merchant or does not have a permanent residence in Germany, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from or related to this agreement shall be the registered office of HAU.
In the same circumstances, the registered office of HAU shall also be the place of performance for all rights and obligations arising from the contractual relationship.
If the user is a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the user has their habitual residence shall additionally apply insofar as they provide greater protection to the user.
If any provision of these Terms of Use becomes invalid and/or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
Invalid and/or unenforceable provisions shall be replaced, by means of supplementary contract interpretation, with valid and enforceable provisions that most closely achieve the intended economic purpose while taking into account the interests of both parties.
The same applies to any gaps in these Terms of Use.
Sentences 2 and 3 of this section do not apply if the user is a consumer within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
