First Gulf Sky is opting for even greater flexibility, efficiency and performance in industrial applications with three new Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1. The 120-tonne mobile cranes perfectly complement the existing fleet and support the company in demanding projects and the erection of steel structures.
Saudi Arabian company First Gulf Sky has expanded its fleet with three Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 mobile cranes. With this addition, the crane hire company now covers all applications between 100 and 160 tonnes. “Thanks to its compact dimensions, the LTM 1120-4.1 is ideal for industrial applications. For us, it’s the wild card of the fleet, so to speak, as it can be used flexibly in a wide variety of work situations,” says Ali Saleh Al Faidmah, Owner of First Gulf Sky. For precisely these reasons, the company plans to purchase five more units of the successor model, the LTM 1120-4.2.
“In addition to the assembly of steel structures, the three new cranes will be used in a wide range of lifting applications – for example in industrial plants and steelworks – to carry out maintenance and repairs, replace components or implement conversions,” explains Saleh Al Faidmah. These time-critical operations are technically demanding and often involve heavy and complex lifts.
The LTM 1120-4.1 is the most powerful 4-axle crane on the market: it has the longest boom in its class and enormous lifting capacities in steep positions. These characteristics make the 120-tonne crane extremely flexible and reduce transport costs, as it can be used for applications that would otherwise require 5-axle cranes with the corresponding logistics. “We deliberately chose Liebherr – because of the strong combination of quality, reliability and strong customer service. Liebherr offers unbeatable added value in demanding working environments,” summarises Saleh Al Faidmah. The LTM 1120-4.1 thus plays a central role within the fleet and strengthens First Gulf Sky’s operational performance.
First Gulf Sky is one of Saudi Arabia’s leading companies in the field of crane rental and critical lifting projects in the Aramco and SABIC industrial zones. Since its foundation in 1992, the company has been carrying out complex lifting tasks and supporting large-scale industrial projects with its many years of technical expertise. Today, First Gulf Sky operates a fleet of around 20 mobile cranes and employs more than 150 people.
