Historical background and outlook

The aerospace and transportation systems product segment of the Liebherr Group was established in 2008 within Liebherr Middle East FZE Dubai in Jebel Ali Free Zone. The intention was to support growing aircraft fleets and the A380 entry-into-service in the region by further developing Liebherr’s customer service network in the region.

In 2015, the service center was expanded: a 1,000 m² logistics center was built to enlarge Liebherr's service capacities and offer operators based in the Middle East optimized spare parts availability.

At the end of the first quarter in 2026, a further step will be taken to expand Liebherr's presence in the region: An EASA Part 145 certified service center is going to be inaugurated at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in Dubai South following Liebherr’s way of continuous organic growth for the benefit of its customers.
