On April 1st 2016, Liebherr inaugurated together with 120 clients from the earthmoving, quarry and industry sectors a new rental, sales and service centre for the earthmoving machines in the départements Charente and Charente-Maritime in France.
Attached to the Liebherr south-west agency based in Gradignan, this new office is located in Pons and nearby many transport axis. The strategical position of the office allows Liebherr to reach even the remotest clients in only one hour.
The centre replaces the historical place of Sémussac-Royan (Charente-Maritime) since February 2016 and has a workshop surface of 600m². During the opening, Liebherr presented different machines from its earthmoving range like the crawler excavators R 922 and R 956 and the crawler tractor PR 736. Further the wheel loader L 566 XPower was presented. “XPower” is the new generation of Liebherr's large wheel loaders. The drive concept combines a hydrostatic drive with a mechanical drive.
The Liebherr south-west agency was founded in 1995 and is present in four places: Gradignan, Villeneuve-les-Bouloc, Bénesse-Maremne and Pons. This south-west France entity from the Liebherr network employs about fifty employees including 10 in Pons.
