Roles & Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to ensure smooth and reliable data flow across systems.
• Data Modeling & Architecture: Develop scalable, efficient data models and architect storage solutions that support analytical and operational needs.
• Data Integration: Integrate diverse data sources—including APIs, databases, and cloud services—for seamless and automated data ingestion.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize database structures and fine-tune queries to maximize data processing performance and efficiency.
• Data Quality & Governance: Implement data validation, cleansing, and monitoring practices to uphold high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based storage environments.
• Monitoring & Incident Management: Establish monitoring systems, logging, and alert mechanisms to ensure system reliability and quickly address data-related issues.

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or comparable.

Experience:

• More than 4 years of professional experience in the area of Data Engineering and Modelling

Preferred Skills / Special Skills:

• Professional experience in Microsoft Azure (e.g. Data Factory) and in Databricks; familiarity with PowerBI Service is an advantage
• Strong skills in SQL and Python, with an object-oriented programming mindset.
• Proficient in GitHub, including version control, CI/CD workflows, and collaborative development.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence on-premise technologies (e.g., SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) is an advantage.
