Press releases | 15/06/2026
At Eurosatory 2026, Liebherr is presenting the MLTB 1025‑4.1, a high-mobility heavy recovery platform designed for tactical and operational-level recovery tasks in contested environments. The MLTB delivers extensive recovery capability for disabled, damaged, or immobilised assets across the battlespace, supporting both combat operations and civilian emergency response scenarios, including disaster relief and infrastructure recovery.
Liebherr will present the MLTB 1025‑4.1 at Eurosatory 2026, underlining the growing operational importance of recovery capability in modern land warfare. Recovery is no longer solely a logistic function; it is a critical enabler of force availability and tempo. The MLTB 1025‑4.1 is a high-mobility heavy recovery vehicle developed for military operations in contested environments. Designed for deployment under time pressure, in complex terrain, and under threat, the 4‑axle platform enables the rapid and controlled recovery of disabled or immobilised assets from the battlespace.
The vehicle combines extended operational reach, high off-road mobility, and a robust platform architecture. It supports the recovery, towing, and lifting of both wheeled and tracked vehicles in restricted terrain and under tactical constraints. The platform is designed to ensure the highest levels of interoperability within mixed and multinational fleets.
A key feature of the MLTB 1025-4.1 is the dual, rear positioned Rotzler winches, enabling rapid and reliable winching capability immediately upon arrival on task. Synchronised remote control of the winch system allows precise and coordinated recovery procedures, supporting the operational requirement to limit time in high-threat environments.
Optional armoured configurations for the driver’s cab and crane cabin enhance crew safety and enable operation within higher threat environments. The platform is designed for extreme durability and maintainability in demanding operational conditions. A global service and support network underpins through-life support, ensuring high levels of availability across the system lifecycle. The MLTB 1025‑4.1 contributes directly to mission success by enabling the rapid recovery and return of critical assets to service – both in combat operations and in civil contingency scenarios, including disaster response.
