The Liebherr Group closed the year 2025 with a turnover of € 14,772 million.
The Liebherr Group achieved sales increases in seven of its 13 product segments. This means that the Group's development was stable, generating turnover growth of € 150 million compared to the previous year. The number of employees also increased again. At the end of the year, Liebherr had a total of 55,963 employees worldwide.
Liebherr is pursuing an objective to be a major player in the advancement of technological innovation. That’s why the company invested a total of € 708 million in research and development. The areas of alternative drives, digitalisation and autonomy were once again key research and development priorities last year. At Bauma 2025, Liebherr presented an autonomous wheel loader for the first time, expanded its portfolio with new, electrified construction machines and developed numerous digital solutions such as new assistance systems for fast-erecting cranes or software for planning energy requirements on construction sites.
Liebherr also invested heavily in the expansion of production sites and rental fleets, among other things. At € 1,059 million, these investments remained at a high level in 2025 and underline the Group's long-term commitment to innovation and sustainable, organic growth.
In addition to detailed key figures on the Group's development, the annual report published on 2 April 2026 also contains an interview in which the family shareholders Jan Liebherr, President of the Administrative Board of Liebherr-International AG, together with Sophie Albrecht and Patricia Rüf, members of the administrative board of Liebherr-International AG, draw their conclusions for 2025.
In a video statement, Steffen Günther, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors of Liebherr-International AG, Bulle (Switzerland), also analyses the course of business in 2025 and gives an outlook on expectations for 2026.
