Professional Warranty Extension 2026

Terms and Conditions

Liebherr Appliances Belgium SA, located at Preflexbaan 162-165, 1740 Ternat, Belgium (hereinafter referred to as ‘Liebherr’), grants the purchaser of a Liebherr refrigeration and/or freezing appliance (hereinafter referred to as ‘the appliance’) a warranty on this appliance, in accordance with the terms set out below. The warranty takes effect upon delivery of the appliance to the purchaser, who has acquired it for the purpose of first use, and is valid for a period of twelve (12) months (hereinafter referred to as “the Liebherr warranty”). Upon commissioning of the appliance, the owner is entitled to a free extension of the Liebherr warranty for a further period of forty-eight (48) months, in accordance with the provisions of these terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension”). The Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension applies exclusively to professional appliances. Customised variants, as well as appliances intended for the sale of foodstuffs and domestic appliances, are expressly excluded from the scope of this extension.

I. Duration and Commencement of the Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension

The Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension is granted for a period of forty-eight (48) months – hereinafter referred to as the “warranty period”. This takes effect immediately upon expiry of the original Liebherr warranty. The warranty period shall not be extended or renewed under any circumstances, even in the event of repairs or services carried out under this Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension.

II. Terms and Conditions of the Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension

The Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension is granted only if the following conditions are demonstrably met:

1. This warranty is valid only in Belgium and Luxembourg

2. The appliance was purchased for the first time from a professional dealer established in Belgium or Luxembourg.

3. The appliance is installed in Belgium.

4. The Liebherr-Professional warranty extension confirmation document is presented to the Liebherr after-sales service for the appliance.

5. The Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension is not transferable to another appliance.

6. The free Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension was requested from Liebherr within 6 weeks of purchasing the appliance, by registering via home.liebherr.com/foodservice.

III. Content and scope of the Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension

1. Defects occurring during the warranty period and demonstrably resulting from material or manufacturing faults will be repaired free of charge by Liebherr Customer Service. In the event of defects affecting internal components, handles or cover strips, Liebherr reserves the right to send replacement parts free of charge to the owner for fitting by the owner.

2. The Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension does not entitle the owner to any claims against Liebherr other than the repair of defects. In particular, Liebherr accepts no liability for indirect or consequential damages of any kind.

3. The Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension covers labour and spare parts. Call-out charges will be invoiced in the event of a visit by a service technician.

IV. Exclusions and Loss of the Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension

1. The following defects or breakdowns are excluded from the professional warranty:

a) Failure to comply with the operating instructions and/or installation manual, incorrect installation and/or connection, improper or excessive use, mishandling or overloading, as well as wear and tear.

b) External influences such as transport damage, shocks or impacts, weather conditions or natural disasters;

c) Repairs or modifications not carried out by Liebherr Customer Service or an authorised partner.

2. Also excluded: defects relating to door seals and associated components (such as lids and doors) where these defects are attributable to the seal, as well as lighting and cosmetic defects resulting from ageing.

3. The Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension shall lapse if the nameplate or serial number has been removed, altered or rendered illegible, or if non-original parts have been fitted.

V. Limitation Period

Any claim under the Liebherr Professional Extended Warranty must be submitted during the warranty period and within six (6) months of the defect being discovered. The limitation period begins on the date of such discovery.

Privacy Statement

Liebherr collects and processes personal data solely:

(i) to conclude, perform and terminate the Liebherr Professional Warranty Extension contract, and

(ii) for any marketing activities, subject to the explicit consent of the data subject.
