Planning, training, crane operation and used machines: a variety of services for Liebherr tower cranes

The Biberach-based tower crane manufacturer will be presenting a variety of solutions at Bauma 2025, ranging from efficient construction site planning and a diverse range of training options, to digital solutions for technical data and fleet management, through to a supportive global service network.

Operational planning and training

The Tower Crane Solutions project department offers tailored solutions for largescale and special projects and for custom applications. These primarily include the use of Liebherr tower cranes for mining, shipyard work, and power station and plant construction. The department’s digital CAD-supported construction site planning service connects different areas of expertise, e.g. Design, Structural Engineering, Production, Sales, Rental, and Service, to find the best possible solutions.

An international range of training offers are available to familiarise participants with their new machines. The training combines digital learning solutions and decentralised on-site sessions. More than 30 trainers are available for providing training on Liebherr tower cranes.

Digital solutions

The MyLiebherr platform offers central access to various applications, such as a spare parts catalogue, digital price lists and the Tower Cranes Shop, complete with spare parts availability.

The Tower Crane Portal, which contains all relevant documentation, can also be accessed via the MyLiebherr platform. Alongside operator manuals and wiring diagrams, a click of the mouse is all it takes to access service information, technical information and product presentations. Further details relating to individual crane models, such as spare parts lists and declarations of conformity, can also be easily viewed in digital form.

Liebherr Connect makes access to machine and process data easy. Intelligent machine networking enables straightforward access to digital solutions and services, and efficient data sharing. Services including comprehensive planning, efficient implementation and accurate data analysis are all available for Liebherr tower cranes.

Structural engineering services and assembly

Experts are on hand to provide advice and assistance with structural questions about cranes and the planning of complex crane jobs. Their services range from the provision of additional crane documents to structural calculations and design of non-standard crane applications, right through to the development and design of custom special solutions.

Qualified service engineers are available on request for crane assembly, so that even unusual crane assemblies can be carried out safely and efficiently.

Global service network for Liebherr tower cranes

Tower Crane Customer Service offers support for all technical aspects. A worldwide network of Liebherr service technicians and service partners, combined with optimised logistics, guarantees a fast and reliable supply of original spare parts. The aim is to ensure optimal equipment availability, maximum safety and a long product service life for the cranes. A broad service network with expert service partners and crane specialists allows Liebherr to offer competent and fast support for crane assembly, maintenance, safety inspections and largescale projects.

Crane repairs and reconditioning

Customer cranes are expertly repaired and reconditioned at the Liebherr Repair Center. Repairs to mechanical and electronic components are also carried out at the Repair Center, as are additional services such as extensive structural steel work and specialised services for Liebherr’s fibre rope.

Rental and used cranes

Used cranes, primarily those needed for largescale and special projects can be rented from the Tower Crane Center in Bad Waldsee, near Biberach. The Tower Crane Center connects a global network of Liebherr sales partners and, together with Tower Crane Solutions, takes on the planning for optimal crane combinations and special technical solutions. The Tower Crane Center offers customers a high availability of cranes, crane components and accessories. Rental and used equipment is also inspected and repaired at the Tower Crane Center. Liebherr offers sustainable solutions for used cranes and continuously works on retrofit solutions for cranes with older generations of control system to make them fit for the future and give them a long service life.
