Liebherr-Transportation Systems GmbH & Co KG in Korneuburg (Austria), ended last year with another success: EcoVadis awarded „Silver“ for the company’s sustainability guidelines and efforts for the year 2022.
The company received particularly high scores in the areas of environment, ethics, and labor and human rights. The latter includes communication structures, training and development measures, health care and employee satisfaction.
Topics in the environmental category include integrating eco-design features into product development, improving energy efficiency through technology or plant modernization, water balancing or audits, and employee training.

Liebherr supplies electromechanical rudder actuator for Phenom 300EV – a milestone in civil aviation
Liebherr-Aerospace has signed an agreement with Embraer to become part of the rudder-by-wire upgrade of the flight control system for the Phenom 300EV. The upgrade includes an electromechanical rudder actuator with integrated control and power electronics. It is one of the world’s first primary flight control applications of an electromechanical actuator (EMA) for a rudder on a civil aircraft. Furthermore, it is the first rudder EMA with fully integrated electronics.
