On October 16th, 2018, Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS hosted its 6th Suppliers’ Day in Toulouse (France). About 120 companies participated in the event and were informed about the requirements of Liebherr-Aerospace’s supply chain, the latest development projects and future challenges.
A “Market Place” consisting of five stands had been set up in order to foster interactive discussions amongst the participants and addressing topics such as logistics performance, quality, innovation, and cost reduction.
The “Best Industrial Performance Award” was presented to KD Ingenieurtechnik GmbH, Finsing (Germany) and Hutchinson Aerospace KTN, Nobitz (Germany) won in the category “Best Industrial Performance Improver”.

Liebherr supplies electromechanical rudder actuator for Phenom 300EV – a milestone in civil aviation
Liebherr-Aerospace has signed an agreement with Embraer to become part of the rudder-by-wire upgrade of the flight control system for the Phenom 300EV. The upgrade includes an electromechanical rudder actuator with integrated control and power electronics. It is one of the world’s first primary flight control applications of an electromechanical actuator (EMA) for a rudder on a civil aircraft. Furthermore, it is the first rudder EMA with fully integrated electronics.
