The weather was good and the mood was even better. The official fair tour of Messe München also marked the beginning of the Bauma week on the Liebherr booth.
The family shareholders Jan Liebherr, President of the administrative board of Liebherr-International, and Patricia Rüf, Member of the administrative board of Liebherr-International, welcomed the political delegation around the Lord Mayor of Munich, Dieter Reiter, and Federal Minister for Construction, Klara Geywitz, as well as Minister of State for Federal and European Affairs and Media Dr Florian Herrmann in front of the mining truck T 264 Battery Electric, which was developed together with the mining customer Fortescue. With its battery-electric drive that guarantees zero emissions on site, the T 264 is an example of the Group's technology neutral approach to alternative drive technologies. The truck is also equipped with an autonomous system (Autonomous Haulage Solution), which enables driverless operation in the mine.
There was also another highlight on show, which reflects Liebherr's endeavours to help shape the construction site of tomorrow with digital solutions. The autonomous wheel loader L 550 X Power, whose autonomous system ‘Liebherr Autonomous Solutions’ was awarded the Bauma Innovation Award in the digitalisation category the evening before.
On the Liebherr booth, the fair tour was also attended by Steffen Günther, Member of the Board of Directors of Liebherr-International AG, Dr Joerg Lukowski, Director of Sales and Marketing at Liebherr-Mining Equipment Colmar SAS, Daniel Pitzer, Commercial Director of Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH and Joachim Strobel, Managing Director Sales at Liebherr-EMtec GmbH.
