Test Manager Software and System Test (m/f/d)Ulm

We are looking for a Test Manager (m/f/d) to join our 'Software and System Test' team in Ulm.

What we do:

Our testing team is responsible for ensuring the quality of a wide range of digital products, from embedded systems and cloud services to mobile apps and web applications. We collaborate closely with development, product management and quality assurance teams, taking ownership of product quality from requirements to release. We start thinking about quality early on: we document requirements and review them for clarity, testability and completeness, ensuring that quality is built in from the start. We develop and implement our own test automation strategy, using modern frameworks and tools to make testing faster, more scalable and more reliable. We also develop test and quality strategies that can be applied across projects, ensuring that every product meets the same high standards of reliability, security and user experience.

Your responsibilities

• Create and implement test strategies and concepts for all test levels in embedded, cloud, mobile and web applications
• Improve our development and testing processes, methods and tools, and support the development teams
• Plan, set up and maintain test environments and automation frameworks
• Align testing activities with management, developers, and quality assurance
• Evaluate and report on the maturity of digital products

Your qualifications

• Academic degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience planning and running test strategies for digital solutions or complex distributed systems
• ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Management or comparable certification
• Expert knowledge in tools and methods for test management, test design and test automation
• Programming / scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Knowledge of CT, CI/CD and agile working methods
• Profound communication and presentation skills in English and German
• Knowledge in system design, system architecture, safety and security
