At the international exhibition for smart and digital automation – SPS – Smart Production Solutions 2019, Liebherr Components presents itself again as a powerful partner for the industry.
The focus at the fair will be on Liebherr power electronics and control technology, such as the Liduro Drive LCD 300 frequency inverter system with integrated LCU 300 power modules and electric motors and generators. All components are characterised by extremely high power density, reliability, durability and efficiency. They are designed to withstand the toughest environmental and application conditions.
To meet the challenges in highly dynamic industrial applications with high peak loads and variable power requirements, Liebherr develops energy storage solutions. The new Liduro Energy Storage system LES 300 helps to achieve not only considerable cost savings, but also increases efficiency.
For example, in lifting and lowering applications in industry, transport and logistics and in drive and control systems in general, energy costs can be reduced by 20-40% through the storage and efficient use of recuperative energy.
The storage and return of recuperation energy to the application for smoothing peak loads also affects the dimensioning of the total connection, the grid connection capacity and the component size, for example, gensets and line cross-sections and, thus, the total costs of the application.
The scalable Energy Storage system LES 300 features an energy content of 690 – 4,140 kJ. Thanks to its open interfaces, it can be flexibly combined with frequency converters or electric machines to one system.

At steinexpo 2026 from 2 to 5 September 2026, Liebherr will be showcasing eight exhibits from its earthmoving, mining and components product ranges. A world first will be unveiled at stand A27, which covers an exhibition space of around 1,000 m². Also on display are a dump truck, two XPower wheel loaders, two Generation 8 crawler dozers, a grid-connected electric mining excavator, a telescopic handler and a mobile energy storage system.
