On October 9, 2025, Liebherr-Aerospace welcomed around 300 of its suppliers to Toulouse (France) to a dedicated Suppliers Day. The event addressed current industry developments and future challenges, with a strong focus on building a competitive, agile, and resilient supply chain. As production ramp-up continues, Liebherr is committed to ensuring its supply base is ready not only for short-term demands but also for future aircraft programs.
To this day, global supply chains remain under pressure: geopolitical tensions, trade conflicts, and the effects of global crises have highlighted the vulnerability of international relations. Sustainable competitiveness, forward planning and close cooperation along the entire supply chain are therefore particularly important and driven by Liebherr.
The goal of the event was to work with suppliers to identify and implement measures that would ensure the long-term stability and responsiveness of Liebherr-Aerospace’s supply chain and create robust structures to enable reliable delivery even under changing conditions.
The message was clear: Liebherr-Aerospace’s supply chain must be resilient and ready for the future, leverage on the latest knowledge, and be on cost targets while never jeopardizing quality.
The keynote by Christoph Zammert, EVP & Head of A320 Family Program at Airbus, underscored the strategic importance of Liebherr and its supply chain in supporting Airbus’s ambitions.
Liebherr representatives from purchasing, quality, logistics, and technology presented current projects, strategic goals, and expectations towards the suppliers base. Other topics included sustainability, digitalization, and regulatory requirements.
The Supplier Day of Liebherr-Aerospace also provided an excellent opportunity for direct exchange between the company and its manifold suppliers – in order to talk about how to meet the increasing demands of the aviation industry.
