For Liebherr Indonesia and its long-term customer Darma Henwa, 2026 began with a big, bright splash of orange in the form of a custom bucket for an R 9350 excavator.
Liebherr Indonesia delivered the 20 m3 pop of colour in February to Darma Henwa – an Indonesian integrated mining service company – at Bengalon mine in East Kalimantan. Since being installed onto one of the R 9350s on site, the bucket has been brightening up the mine every shift.
Darma Henwa first approached Liebherr Indonesia about the custom bucket back in December 2025. The company wanted a tangible representation of its new corporate identity, which centres around the core concept, ‘Rewrite the future’.
Liebherr Indonesia’s fabrication department brought Darma Henwa’s vision to life in just 12 weeks, making sure this orange masterpiece not only looked great, but also met all of the customer’s operational requirements. All told, the bucket stands at 3.4 metres tall and 3.6 metres wide.
‘From the initial design discussions to final installation, the process required close coordination at every stage,’ says Antonio Mathor, fabrication manager at Liebherr Indonesia. ‘My team worked closely with Darma Henwa’s representatives to ensure the bucket not only reflected their new corporate identity but also met all site performance requirements. In the end, performance is what matters most, and the quality and durability of this product quickly speak for themselves.’
