Receiving InspectorSaline, MI
The Receiving Inspector is responsible for the thorough inspection and verification of all incoming materials, including both serviceable and unserviceable aerospace components. This role ensures that received parts and documentation accurately match the associated Repair Order (RO) or manufacturing certificates, comply with internal quality standards, and meet applicable regulatory requirements. The Receiving Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining FAA/EASA compliance by identifying and resolving any discrepancies in part condition or accompanying documentation at the point of entry.

Responsibilities
- Inspect/verify incoming parts and materials for accuracy, condition, and completeness.
- Confirm that all received items match corresponding Repair Orders (ROs), manufacturing certificates, and other required documentation before entering the data into our system.
- Identify, document, and escalate any discrepancies related to part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, or regulatory paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and internal quality standards during the receiving process.
- Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records within the company’s tracking system.
- Ensure that all items subject to shelf-life restrictions are correctly identified, tracked, and maintained per regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and the Repair Shop to resolve receiving related issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring problems and recommending corrective actions.
Competencies
- High school diploma or GED required with 1-2 years of experience in a similar field or environment. Previous experience in a warehouse or repair facility is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid fork-lift license.
