The Lead assists in coordinating and monitoring activities of employees engaged in warehousing of Liebherr components, by performing the duties listed below. In addition, the Lead will perform the duties of the Warehouse Logistic Technician and the Warehouse Logistic Coordinator as necessary.

Responsibilities
Level 4:
- Ensures safe practices.
- Ensures 5S continuous training and compliance.
- Ensures procedural control by maintaining compliance to established procedures.
- Works with other Leads, Supervisors, and Warehouse Logistics Manager to balance workflow.
Level 3:
- Meet all the level 4 requirements plus:
- Advises & trains employees on the care and preservation of items received, stored and shipped.
- Monitors and coordinates the physical and documentation flow of product within the area of responsibility regarding receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping and kitting.
- Monitors the process for: picking work orders, sales orders, or requests for parts and materials using material handling equipment and stages the material for packaging and shipment.
- The material is then either delivered to Production or loaded for shipment to customers.
- Packing orders for domestic and international shipments as required for the transportation mode per company guidelines.
- Building appropriate boxing and crating when required.
Level 2:
- Meet all the Level 3 requirements plus:
- Evaluates and rigs material lifts, verifying current sling certifications in accordance with company safety guidelines.
- Performs and reconciles cycle counts.
- Investigates, resolves, and coordinates shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies.
- Monitors the stocking of materials or items on assigned racks, shelves, or in bins pending verification of stocking documentation.
- Reports inventory variances relative to stocking transactions.
Level 1:
- Meet all the Level 2 requirements plus:
- Maintains the company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and Warehouse Management System (WMS) for the transaction of purchase receipts, put away, sales and production orders, and redistribution requirements.
- Utilizes company ERP and WMS system and to perform inquiries on transactional history, where used, and planned inventory movement in support of inventory reconciliation, receipt, transfer, and shipment.
- Provides support to Warehouse Logistics employees by answering questions, providing instruction and making suggestions for all phases of warehouse operations including production processes and aftermarket product support.
Competencies
Education and Experience:
- Level 4: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with three to four years combined experience with WMS and ERP in a distribution center or warehouse support role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level 3: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with four to five years combined experience with WMS and ERP in a distribution center or warehouse support role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level 2: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with five to six years combined experience with WMS and ERP in a distribution center or warehouse support role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level 1: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with six or more years combined experience with WMS and ERP in a distribution center or warehouse support role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level 4 Requirements:
- Ability to operate material handling equipment including cranes and lift trucks.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of material movement and the associated procedural controls.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to perform effectively in a Team environment.
- Knowledge of and ability to navigate through the appropriate applications, i.e. MS Office Products, ERP and WMS.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
- Knowledge of the safe operation of basic power tools, i.e., saws, drill motors air compressors.
Level 3 Requirements:
- Meet all the requirements of Level 4 plus:
- Ability to read and interpret Liebherr Employee Rules and Regulations, company safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, production and customer sales orders.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Certification in 3 of 3 lift types.
- Jib Crane certified.
- Mafi certified.
- Overhead crane certified.
- Carries out daily schedule as determined by the Supervisor.
- Provides work direction to team throughout the shift.
- Makes adjustments in assignments as requirements change.
- Practices 5S and ensures Team members practice 5S.
- Promotes safe work environment; complies with all safety regulations.
- Supports and assists with implementation of standards and procedures.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Skilled in verification of receiving documents.
- Highly skilled in the unloading process.
- Highly skilled in the unpacking and sorting process.
- Highly skilled at product ID and labelling process.
- Highly skilled at cross docking.
- Highly skilled at prioritization of orders (Levels 1, 2 and 3).
- Proficient at material handling to ensure safety and to prevent damage.
- Well versed in Picking and Put Away process.
- Proficient in the inventory reconciliation process.
- Highly skilled in operating the VLM.
- Functional skills in ERP LN and WAMAS WMS systems.
- Highly skilled in utilization of hand-held barcode scanning equipment.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately using all forms of media, i.e., radio, email, etc.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures.
Level 2 Requirements:
- Meet all the Level 3 requirements plus:
- Identifies new methods for process improvement.
- Promotes and builds a team environment.
- Demonstrates advanced process training skills.
- Knowledgeable in the Packing Process.
- Knowledgeable in proper marking of shipping packages and crates.
- Ability to audit production and sales orders.
- Ability to record weight & dimensions for shipment reporting purposes.
- Knowledgeable in packaging for all transportation modes.
- Knowledgeable of FIR system.
- Knowledgeable in the cycle counting and reconciliation process.
- Knowledgeable in the Kitting process.
- Knowledgeable in operating the LFS system.
- Proficient at evaluating and rigging material lifts, verifying current sling certifications in accordance with company safety guidelines.
Level 1 Requirements:
- Meet all the Level 2 requirements plus:
- Subject matter expert (SME) in all functions required of team members in primary area of core competency.
- Demonstrates skill in influencing people.
- Demonstrates initiative and identifies process issues, determines alternatives, proposes the best selection, designs a plan, and executes to the plan.
- Provides input and information regarding performance of the team, the process and the equipment.
- Ensures that team projects and individual projects are completed on time.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to maintain forklift and crane certification.
- Obtain and maintain a driver’s license.
