LTR 1220 - The optimum of the telescopic crawler crane class.

Our LTR 1220 crawler crane combines the features of a telescopic crane with those of a crawler crane – the crawler travel gear provides outstanding off-the-road handling as well as manoeuvrability with excellent handling. The advantages of a telescopic crane include its short set-up times, simpler transport and the variability of its boom system. The telescopic boom is quickly extended and retracted to the required length with full automation. Another plus point is that the crane can travel with a full load on the hook. There is no need for an auxiliary crane on site as it is self-erecting – a major financial aspect.

LTR 1220 builds water basins for innovative energy storage system

A smart idea for generating and storing green energy in north-east Baden-Württemberg – a modern pump accumulator power plant and four wind turbines. The special feature of this project is that each wind turbine is located in the centre of a round water basin. Surplus energy can be used to pump water up from the valley and when electricity is then required it is released back down to the power plant. An LTR 1220 built the enormous water basins.
