Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Accountant is responsible for the provision of effective and accurate; analysis of financial performance, financial reporting and financial advisory services to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and posting of month end accruals and journals including for inventory and fixed assets
- Contribution to quarterly and year end internal and external audits, provide information and supporting documentation as requested by Audit
- Analysis of various general ledger accounts including documented reconciliations
- Provision of operational financial support / advice to internal customers
- Preparation of documents and follow up of internal and external audit queries
- Participation in the year end closing and reporting processes
- Contribution to the use of various registers used by the Finance and Administration team
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (essential) with either a CA or CPA (preferred)
- 5+ years accounting experience in medium or large business (Essential)
- Advanced analytical skills
- Ability to handle and analyse large volumes of data
- Willing and able to work in the office 5 days per week (Monday-Friday)
