2018 was an exceptional year for the New Zealand Crane Industry. Strong economic conditions produced record demand for lifting equipment for infrastructure and high rise development.
Liebherr-Australia Mobile and Crawler Crane Division in New Zealand enjoyed the benefits of this and delivered a record number of units in 2018 to our major customers and, very pleasingly, to a few first time Liebherr owners.

A step up: Schweri opts for new Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 mobile crane
Schweri Autokranbetriebe GmbH & Co. KG is putting an LTM 1300-6.4 into service. With this 300-tonne crane, the company is increasing the lifting capacity of its fleet and responds to increasing demands in wind power, industrial and precast concrete installation projects.

Pipe Mikado at the cement works: Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 moves heavy loads in confined spaces
At the Holcim cement plant in Dotternhausen, a Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane from Wiesbauer GmbH & Co. KG mastered a challenging installation lift: two pipes, each weighing 33 tonnes, had to be hoisted into a new flue gas cleaning plant between existing pipes.

Permit-free from south to north: new Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3 mobile crane for Schlamann-Autokrane GmbH
The LTM 1055-3.3 is the second of four new Liebherr mobile cranes ordered by Schlamann-Autokrane GmbH this year. The new 55-tonne crane is the lightest 3-axle all-terrain crane on the market: it travelled from the Liebherr plant in Ehingen, Upper Swabia, to Nienburg in Lower Saxony without the need for complex authorisation procedures.
