Senior UX Designer (m/f/d)Ulm

For our global eDevelopment, we are looking for a Senior UX Designer (m/f/d) at our location in Ulm.

Liebherr builds construction and mining machines, cranes, maritime and aerospace equipment and much more. More and more of these products are connected and software-driven, and the Liebherr-Digital Development Center (LDC) develops digital products and services for companies across the Liebherr Group.

Why we need you?
Our UX team is growing. We work on apps, platforms and machine interfaces, and we’re looking for experienced designers who want to shape how people work with Liebherr products and services.
As a UX designer at LDC, you’ll work in multidisciplinary teams on products used by customers, machine operators and service technicians worldwide. Projects span construction, mining and cranes, from machine interfaces and operator assistance to fleet management platforms and service apps for technicians.

Your responsibilities

• Create user-centered concepts for digital products and services (apps, web platforms and machine interfaces), using design and prototyping tools
• Select and apply suitable research methods, from interviews to usability testing, and turn the findings into design decisions
• Translate complex design concepts into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders
• Plan and moderate workshops, guiding participants through collaborative activities
• Make sure accessibility is built into our products from the start
• Work in agile project teams, analyzing requirements with product owners and project managers and working closely with developers
• Champion design within LDC, across the Liebherr Group and with project stakeholders

Your qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UX design, with solid user-centered working methods
• Interdisciplinary design knowledge and the ability to draw inspiration from other design disciplines
• Experience across the design process, including research, user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes and usability testing
• Confident use of visual design, interface design and prototyping tools, including experience working with design systems
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG)
• Experience with agile methods and curiosity about new technologies and trends
• Excellent communication, moderation and presentation skills
• Fluent English and German at B2 level or above. You’ll need to present ideas and moderate workshops in both languages
