VA Erzberg and Liebherr have concluded a development contract for a Trolley assist system for Liebherr’s T 236 new 100t mining truck.
VA Erzberg intends to electrify the main haul road of its Erzberg mine site and operate a fleet of T 236 trucks from 2021. This electrification project would increase Erzberg life of mine significantly and reduce CO2 emission on site. Liebherr is proud to participate and support this outstanding initiative of VA Erzberg.
Representatives of VA Erzberg and Liebherr celebrated this new collaboration at the Liebherr booth at Bauma.

Three Liebherr flat-top cranes support the transformation of Milan's Bovisa gasometers
Two early twentieth century gasometers in the Bovisa district of Milan are being redeveloped into a new innovation campus for Politecnico di Milano, based on a master plan by architect Renzo Piano. Since March 2025, three Liebherr flat-top cranes have covered the entire construction site, handling lifting and material handling work across the project.

THW builds Danube bridge using four Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 cranes
In Tuttlingen, southern Germany, four small Liebherr cranes have achieved great things: as a temporary replacement for a Danube bridge due for demolition, the LTC 1050-3.1 compact cranes erected a 70-metre-long river crossing as part of a civil defence exercise.
