Liebherr Zambia Limited. was founded in 2014 to bring technical support and spare parts distribution closer to the mining operations in the Zambian Copperbelt. Significant copper and emerald opencast mines operate Liebherr machines in the region and our presence in the country enables proper service support and spare parts availability to achieve high customer satisfaction and enhance productivity. We are seeking a competent individual to fill the position of the IT Co-ordinator.
Responsibilities
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals in coordination with Group IT
- Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, and conversions and file maintenance.
- Oversee systems development, enhancement, and the integration of new systems with existing systems
- Work with MIN affiliate staff to develop strategies and plans to enhance client services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation.
- Communicate regularly with Management and all users of information services and systems.
- Develop the colleagues to meet the changing needs of users, groups and locations; support new projects and technologies utilizing varying staff strengths
- Develop training programs, standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to end-users.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
- Actively provide end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
- Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.
- Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals in coordination with Group IT.

QUALIFICATION:
Minimum bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university and 4 years experience or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
