Brazilian customer takes delivery of the hundredth LR 1400
As part of the 2006 Customer Days at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH, the hundredth Liebherr crawler crane in the LR 1400 series was handed over to Julio Eduardo Simões, President of the Brazilian company Locar Transportes Técnicos e Guindastes Ltda.
Since 1997, Liebherr has supplied the 400-tonne crawler crane to customers in over 25 countries on every continent. One of the main reasons for the success of the crane, which has been built as the LR 1400/2 since 2001 following technical modifications, is the basic machine’s outstanding load capacity and extremely compact dimensions.
In addition, the individual components have optimal transport weights for economical use. Rapid and straightforward assembly also contributes to economic efficiency. The LR 1400 was the first crane to be equipped with derrick ballast, with the ballast radius adjustable while the crane is under load.
