Liebherr harbour mobile cranes globally successful
Within the past year Liebherr delivered 53 harbour mobile cranes in total. This is the company’s second best result in such product range, only exceeded by the 58 machines delivered during 2004.
In particular an increased demand for cranes of the highest lifting capacity and a maximum available outreach can be recorded. Just 20% each of the ex-works deliveries are covered by harbour mobile cranes of the small and medium-sized range whereas approximately 60% are being taken by the big models LHM 320, LHM 400 and LHM 500. Certainly this trend is also influenced by the ever increasing vessel sizes.
During the past year Liebherr harbour mobile cranes were delivered to such well-known markets as Great Britain (8 units) as well as Spain, Iran and Algeria (6 units each). Market entries were achieved in Greece, Hungary, Syria and French Polynesia. Therewith Liebherr harbour mobile crane are now operational within 70 countries worldwide.
