During the business year 2004, Liebherr Group was able to raise its turnover by 502 million € or 12.3 % to 4,590 million €. All divisions were able to increase their sales volumes.

The positive development continued in the first half of the new business year. Compared with the same period of the previous year, turnover increased by 364 million € or 17.9 % to 2,403 million €. The construction machinery sector again exhibited particular growth. Production is close to its limits in many product areas. The number of employees in the Group has increased to 22,700 at present.
