By establishing two new companies in Turkey and Azerbaijan recently, the Liebherr Group confirms the importance it attaches to both markets and at the same time strengthens its presence in Eastern Europe and Western Asia. The new Liebherr companies will improve customer support in the two markets, for instance by optimising after-sales service including repairs and the supply of spare parts.
Liebherr-Makìne Tìcaret Servìs Lìmìted Sìrketì, with its registered offices in Istanbul, is responsible for the Turkish market. The company has been formed from a long-standing dealer organisation in Turkey. Since the importance of this market has greatly increased recently, Liebherr decided to intensify its direct sales activities and expand its after-sales service.
Liebherr-Makìne Tìcaret Servìs Lìmìted Sìrketì provides support for a large part of Liebherr’s maritime crane programme in Turkey, as well as the complete earthmoving machinery area and the Group’s material handling and special-purpose civil engineering machines. The new company is currently responsible for a fleet of more than 1,500 earthmoving machines, about 30 hydraulic rope excavators and crawler cranes and nearly 40 large dockside cargo handling installations. Liebherr-Makìne Tìcaret Servìs Lìmìted Sìrketì has a workforce of 43.
Liebherr-Azeri LLC has its registered offices in Baku, Azerbaijan and was established to serve the growth market in that country. It is responsible for all the Liebherr Group’s maritime cranes and also for mobile and crawler cranes, tower cranes, hydraulic rope excavators, special-purpose civil engineering machinery and products from the Group’s mixing technology division. Liebherr-Azeri LLC currently employs twelve people.
Both the new companies are subsidiaries of Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH of Nenzing, Austria, which is responsible for the Group’s maritime cranes division.
