At the Big 5 Dubai 2009, which takes place from 23 to 26 November, Liebherr will also be presenting refrigerators and freezers for the first time. On the 60 m² Zabeel V21 stand, visitors to the Big 5 can see a total of 22 exhibits from Liebherr's wide range of products. The main attractions include Liebherr's successful BioFresh and NoFrost systems, new standalone and fitted appliances, as well as innovative product design. Visitors can find out about progress in the increasingly important field of energy efficiency, as well as dedicated storage systems for wine and cigars.
With Liebherr's successful BioFresh technology, many foodstuffs can be kept for up to three times longer than in conventional refrigerator compartments. The BioFresh range will be represented in Dubai with a number of new combined fridge-freezers.
Another Liebherr highlight in Dubai is the GTP 2356, the world's most economical freezer chest. It only needs 113 kWh per year, significantly less than the previous title holder, the GTP 2226 – although at 157 kWh this is still in efficiency category A++. The GTP 2356 has been nominated for the GAIA Award and has been published in Dubai on the “Green Product” list of especially environmentally friendly products.
