The jury chose the ZKes 453 humidor, the CNes 6256 refrigerator and the CBNes 3967 fridge/freezer as winners of the reddot design award 2009 in the product design category.
The reddot design award is one of the most renowned international design competitions. The products are judged by a highly qualified jury of renowned experts who demand the highest standards of creativity, innovation and product quality.
The strict assessment criteria are constantly updated to cater for formal, technical, production, social, economical and ecological requirements. The criteria form an orientation framework that is filled in by an expert jury individually.
The Liebherr ZKes 453 humidor impressed the jury with its design and innovative technology that guarantees perfect air humidity at ideal storage temperatures of 16°C to 20°C. For maximum enjoyment, cigars have to be kept at a humidity of 68% to 75% once they have been manufactured.
Another example of Liebherr's design quality is the 91 cm wide CNes 6256 refrigerator with its elegant French door concept, where the two stainless steel doors can be opened independently of each other. Inside, the appliance features many impressive and innovative ideas.
With the new BioFresh-Plus technology, the CBNes 3967 fridge/freezer offers even more flexibility for individual storage. BioFresh-Plus means that three different temperatures can be set as required in the BioFresh safe at the top.
