Liebherr at the Electronica 2008 in Munich
In its role as competent partner in the development and manufacture of high-quality electronics modules, Liebherr is presenting a selection of products and services at the Electronica 2008, held in Munich from 11th until 14th November. On display at the Liebherr stand (hall A1/stand no. 656) are electronic components for the fields of construction machinery, aviation and railway engineering.

Liebherr is exhibiting a wide range of electronics modules for use in construction machinery. Among the exhibits: a universal control system employed in both the crawler and wheel versions of excavators and loaders. This modular system handles the entirety of control processes in the respective machine.

From the aviation field, Liebherr is presenting the Motor Control Electronic (MCE) used in an actuator system of the Airbus A380. The electronic module developed by Liebherr is fitted directly to the A380's wing actuator and adjusts the spoiler positions as necessary. As a further example of Liebherr electronics employed in the field of aviation, the Electrical Heater Controller (EHC) is on display at the Munich trade fair. The electronic system controls the temperature in the cabin by way of output control and is used on board the aeroplanes of various manufacturers.

Among the exhibits from the field of railway engineering is an electronics module for climate control in rail vehicles. Designated the BK3 controller, the module is employed primarily for climate control in mobile systems such as the ICE and various passenger compartments in trains run by Deutsche Bahn AG and the French railway company SNCF.
