Five combined refrigerator-freezers from the current range and a wine cabinet for integrated use have won awards in the categories of Design and Ease of Use. Following on from last year’s success, Liebherr household appliances have received accolades at the Plus X Award 2008 for the second time in succession. The Plus X Award is Europe’s largest technology competition and is conferred in recognition of outstanding achievements in innovation, design, ease of use and ecology.
The stainless steel combined refrigerator-freezer with Bio Fresh and No Frost (CBNes 3957), the stainless steel freestanding refrigerator with Bio Fresh (KBes 4260) and the freshness centre CNes 6256 received awards in the “Design and Ease of Use” categories. Unique features such as the LED light columns, the Soft System to cushion door closure and state-of-the-art electronics are highlights of these appliances.
The side-by-side combined appliance with Ice Center, Bio Fresh and No Frost (SBSes 7273) and the combined refrigerator-freezer with Bio Fresh und No Frost (CBN 3956) won awards in the “Ease of Use” category. With the No Frost function, these appliances provide “never defrost again” convenience. All the handles come with an integrated opening mechanism for easy opening and closing.
The Plus X Award in the “Design” category went to the WTEes 2053 wine cabinet for integrated use, for the 122-cm recess size.
