Liebherr Mining Equipment Co. has selected Australia’s Immersive Technologies as its alliance partner in the development of advanced simulator-based training products for the mining industry. As an alliance partner, Liebherr will exclusively recommend Immersive Technologies Advanced Equipment (AE) Simulators in the future for its mining truck product range, starting with the T 282 B.
As part of the alliance, Liebherr will cooperate with Immersive Technologies on the Technologies AE Simulator, ensuring simulator training realism and operational accuracy for users of Liebherr mining trucks.
Liebherr recognizes that simulator based operator training provides the customer with a cheaper and safer alternative for training new employees, without the need to remove a productive piece of equipment from the mining fleet, which is very important for the mining industry today, as there is an overwhelming demand for raw materials combined with a shortage of skilled labor.
