New assembly plant for Liebherr machine tools in India
“Liebherr Machine Tools India Private Limited” recently opened a newly built production facility with an area of 1,000 m² in Bangalore, India. This is where the company will be assembling and dispatching Liebherr machine tools for customers in the Indian market. The basic machines, which were shipped from Germany, are assembled by 15 members of staff and fitted with locally bought components.
Founded at the end of 2003, Liebherr Machine Tools India Private Limited is a joint venture between Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH, Kempten, and Francis Klein & Co. Private Limited, Bangalore, the long-standing distribution partner for Liebherr gear cutting machinery in India. Liebherr holds a 60% majority share in the new company.
