Liebherr innovations at EMO 2007

Liebherr is once again to present numerous innovations at the "Exposition Mondiale de la Machine Outil" (EMO), which is being held in Hanover from 17-22 September 2007.

From the gear-technology range, Liebherr will be exhibiting the LC 130 - a compact gear-hobbing machine suitable for wet and dry cutting and specially designed to have short non-productive times and excellent serviceability. Another exhibit - the LCS 150 – sets new standards in gear generating and profile grinding, both with dressable and CBN tools. Chip-to-chip times are below five seconds and good accessibility for operation and service has been ensured. The largest exhibit will be the LCS 700, a new gear-grinding machine for gear generating and profile grinding up to a component diameter of 700mm. This machine can be operated with dressable tools made from corundum or sintered alumina, or with dressable CBN. It is even possible to use electroplated CBN tools.

As a new addition in the field of automation, Liebherr is to exhibit the flexible pallet-handling system PHS 1500 at EMO 2007. Its technical design enables extensions to the utilisation times in workshop manufacturing with no impact on the machine's universality. Crane unloading straight onto the machine table and fully automatic operations in phase-to-phase plants are thus equally feasible.
