Hydraulic Crawler Crane HS 855 HD at the 2004 'Bauma'

The Liebherr HS 855 HD hydraulic crawler crane is the latest model in the innovative ‘5’ series. It is shown at the 2004 ‘Bauma’ with a mechanical diaphragm-wall grab. The crane is in the 90-tonne class and now uses a new concept for the steel superstructure, which is designed as a strong, torsionally rigid box. The result is an extremely compact, universal lifting device with exceptional performance ratings. The crawler crane is powered by a 400 kW (544 hp) Liebherr diesel engine and equipped as standard with two 25-tonne (250 kN) free-fall winches. The undercarriage can be telescoped and has its crawler track assemblies that can be removed for transport. Last but not least, the HS 855 HD has an innovative self-loading and fast erecting system, so that a second crane is not needed for the unloading or erecting work. |
